Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026 · Mavuso Trade Exhibition & Sports Centre

This Privacy Policy explains how the Mavuso Trade Exhibition & Sports Centre ("we", "our", "the Centre"), operated by the Eswatini Investment Promotion Authority (EIPA), collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the Mavuso online booking platform at mavusotradecentre.co.sz ("the Platform").

Your privacy matters

We collect only the information needed to process and manage your venue booking, and we never sell your personal information.

1

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly, needed to create a booking and an account:

  • Your name, email address, telephone number, and the organisation or location you provide.
  • Details of your event and booking — event name, type, nature, projected attendance, ticketing arrangements, requested dates and times, and any additional notes.
  • A Tax Identification Number (TIN) and billing details, used to issue compliant invoices for venue hire.
  • A password you create to sign back in and manage your bookings.
  • If you pay by bank transfer (EFT), the payment confirmation or receipt you upload.
  • Any communications you send us through the contact form, by email, or by telephone.

Information we collect automatically: your selected venues, dates, and cart contents are kept in your browser's local storage so you can continue where you left off. We also record standard technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the Platform secure and operational.

Payment information: when you pay by card, card details are entered on pages provided by our payment processor, Peach Payments, and are transmitted directly to Peach over an encrypted connection. We do not see or store full card numbers.

2

How We Use Your Information

  • To prepare, confirm, and manage your venue booking, including issuing invoices and receipts.
  • To process and verify payments, and to reconcile bank-transfer receipts with your booking.
  • To provide an account so you can track bookings, view payment status, and download invoices.
  • To send you important transactional messages about your booking (confirmations, payment status, reminders) by email or phone.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Platform and to respond to your enquiries.
  • Where you have agreed, to contact you about events and offers at the Centre.
4

Who We Share Information With

  • Peach Payments — processes card payments on their PCI DSS-compliant infrastructure. Your card data is handled under Peach's own privacy and security terms.
  • Service providers that host the Platform and deliver transactional email on our behalf. They may access information only to perform those services and are bound by confidentiality.
  • EIPA and authorised Centre staff, including our finance team who verify EFT receipts against our bank records.
  • Authorities, where we are required to do so by law or to protect the safety, rights, or property of the Centre, its visitors, or the public.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising to you unless you have agreed.

5

How Long We Keep Information

We keep booking and payment records for as long as required to administer your booking, to resolve any disputes, and to meet our legal and tax obligations in the Kingdom of Eswatini. After that time, personal information is deleted or anonymised. EFT receipts and uploaded proof-of-payment documents are retained with your booking record for reconciliation and audit purposes.

6

How We Protect Your Information

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), store passwords only in a scrambled (hashed) form, restrict access to personal information to staff who need it, and apply industry-standard safeguards to the systems that hold your data. Card payments are handled entirely within Peach Payments' PCI DSS-compliant environment. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to contain any breach we become aware of.

7

Browser Storage and Your Device

To make the Platform work, your browser stores small amounts of data locally on your device — never in cookies set by third parties. This includes your signed-in session, your venue cart, and simple preferences such as whether notification sounds are on. This data stays in your browser and is not used to track you across other websites. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings; clearing it will sign you out and reset your cart.

8

Your Rights

You may ask us to:

  • provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
  • delete your personal information where we no longer have a lawful reason to keep it; and
  • stop sending you marketing communications (you may also unsubscribe using the link in any marketing email).

You can update your contact details from your account at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details at the end of this policy. We may need to verify your identity before actioning a request, and we will respond within a reasonable period.

10

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify account holders. Continued use of the Platform after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
